English Yew is the wood of Voldemort's wand. This wood is imported from England. The handle is carved from one piece of ebony with two serpents coiling around each other like the smoky snakes Dumbledore saw in his office. "Then in essence divided?" (OoP 22) The eyes of the serpents are red beads that have a slit highlight for the serpentine vertical pupil. The wand core is capped with a yew plug to contain the Snake skin.
