Holly is a milk-white wood. So I have made the wand as Rowling's book describes, not as the movies have it with a very dark brown shaft. Imagine Harry not only with a white owl, but also with a milk-white wand in his hand. The movies just blew it in this instance, IMHO. Click picture for Detail
