The buyer of this wand has a choice of woods for the wand shaft. See my list of woods for a selection. It is pictured with highly figured English Yew which has a rather dusty appearance in the grain. A whimsical wand, though powerful in effect. The handle is of five different woods layered together: Padauk, Rosewood, Oak, Purple heart and Bocote. This makes for a somewhat unstable wand in the hands of a novice, but is tempered together with the yew. In the hands of a gifted wizard it can be formidable. Click picture for Detail
