The wand is purple-heart that is bright lavender when new and deepens to a purplish brown with age. The handle is a fairly rare Pallisander rosewood that I obtained from a recorder blank. It is a deep brown and was my first attempt at wand making. The wand shaft with its bird tail feather core goes through the handle and touches the amethyst crystal accent at the end. One can only expect something extraordinary in magical properties. Click picture for Detail
